GIHQS Accreditation Process

1 Pre-Application Registration
Complete the short registration form to initiate the accreditation process.
You will provide basic organizational information and the program/certification being submitted.
You receive: Confirmation email and instructions for payment to generate your Application ID.
2 Payment & Application ID Issuance
After payment is completed, GIHQS issues a unique Application ID.
This ID is used for tracking, communication, and submission.
Tip: Keep the Application ID in all emails and file names.
3 Self-Study & Evidence Preparation
Prepare your full application using the Accreditation Standards Manual.
Collect evidence across all domains (governance, curriculum, faculty, assessment integrity, outcomes, and more).
Recommended: Assign an accreditation lead and compile evidence in a structured folder system.
4 Upload Submission
Submit the completed application and supporting documentation through the GIHQS submission portal.
Ensure documents are clearly labeled and complete before upload.
Includes: Completed application form + required evidence attachments.
5 Independent Expert Review
An independent GIHQS expert panel evaluates your submission against the standards.
The panel may request clarifications or additional evidence before finalizing findings.
Outcome: Preliminary findings and evidence-based recommendations.
6 Accreditation Decision & Report
GIHQS issues the final decision and a formal report documenting scores, strengths, gaps, and improvement actions.
If approved, accreditation status and branding guidance are provided.
Next: Maintain performance and prepare for renewal / re-accreditation.
After You Register
1) Complete Payment
Payment generates your Application ID and unlocks the submission package.
2) Prepare the Self-Study
Use the standards manual to map evidence across each domain.
3) Submit the Full Application
Upload documents and respond quickly to clarification requests.
